Construction of the new Macamic Senior Center, a concrete building erected on deep foundations anchored to bedrock, on a site requiring the excavation of contaminated soil, in the heart of Abitibi-Ouest.

The Macamic Senior Center is a modern living facility for seniors in Abitibi-Ouest, built on behalf of the Société québécoise des infrastructures. Hardy was responsible for the complete site preparation, including mass excavation, contaminated soil management, and rock excavation, before erecting the building’s concrete structure on deep foundations anchored to bedrock.
The company carried out all formwork, rebar installation, and concrete pouring—from the footings to the floor slabs—in addition to constructing the exterior civil infrastructure: parking lot, water and sewer systems, paving, and a bike path.
