At the Horne Foundry in Rouyn-Noranda, Hardy Construction carried out the rehabilitation of a section of the T-350 industrial channel, a collection system that carries process fluids. The scope of work included the excavation and dismantling of the existing channel, the removal of decommissioned pipes, the construction of a new
concrete channel, and the restoration of traffic lanes. The main challenge lay in carrying out the work in the heart of an active industrial site: keeping critical pipelines operational, phasing the work into two distinct zones, closely managing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and fully complying with Glencore’s safety requirements.
