The replacement of the superstructure and exterior envelope of the Iberville School in Rouyn-Noranda involves all the siding, windows, and doors of this three-story, 9,688 m² building, which was constructed in 1968 for the Rouyn-Noranda School Service Center. The major challenge: carrying out work of this scale—including managing the presence of asbestos—without ever interrupting school activities.
Hardy Construction provided 50% of the site’s workforce from April 2024 to August 2025, deploying up to twelve workers. This project demonstrates the company’s ability to carry out large-scale institutional projects in occupied facilities in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
