The Oujé-Bougoumou Training and Development Centre represents much more than a new construction of 20,997 sq. ft., it is a development lever for a Cree community whose village has been awarded by UNESCO for its architecture and sustainable approach.

Directed by Eenou Eeyou Construction, sister company of Hardy Construction dedicated to projects in Cree territory, the project is based on a model promoting local employment and skills transfer. Hardy Construction has been responsible for project management as well as its basic specialties: foundations, formwork, concrete construction, carpentry, insulation and envelope installation.

Connected to the community's biomass district heating network, the building offers a modern infrastructure dedicated to the formation and self-determination of the Oujé-Bougoumou Cree Nation.

Architecture and envelope integrated into the built environment of a community recognized for its architectural identity. Complete envelope including exterior coverings, windows and doors. Interior design including partitions, finishes and functional spaces adapted to a training vocation.

Structure and civil: Excavation, levelling and installation of foundations, floor slabs and concrete bearing elements. Provision of access, parking and connections to the technical networks of the community. Coordination of structural drills with the technical loads of different disciplines.

Mechanical and plumbing: Ventilation, heating and plumbing systems. Connection of the district heating network to biomass and hydronic and sanitary networks.

Electricity and safety: Electrical distribution, lighting and communication systems. Emergency and control networks. Spiders, detectors
and fire alarms coordinated with architecture and mechanical systems.
